  •  : Can PDB clamps be used on saggy, thin, or high-hardness steel plates?

    • Answer: No. PDB horizontal clamps are designed for rigid steel plates. Saggy or deflected thin plates can cause the clamps to slip due to altered force angles. Additionally, the plate’s surface hardness must not exceed 37 HRC. For plates with contaminated surfaces (oil, grease, paint, or scale), they must be thoroughly cleaned before clamping to avoid a dangerous reduction in friction.
